The sonics aren't all that good, but at least we get a chance to hear these classic songs in surround sound. Just be ready to potentially adjust channel levels. With my first experience listening to this SACD, it seemed as though Bowie's vocals were coming through a little bit too strong from the back of the room. After some adjusting, the vocal balance moved closer to the front of the room. That said, it is a somewhat experimental mix with both direct sounds and reverberations. I guess it's OK, at best. (Note: This is a hybrid SACD.)
