Bob Dylan - "Bringing It All Back Home" SACD (Kazaamees = 3 of 5)
I had fairly low expectations for this release, but it turns out I'm actually quite happy with the results. No, it's not exactly impressive; but it is certainly an easy listen. Sonically, it's not too harsh. And the surround mix is subtle. Vocals are spread across the front three speakers, but appear to be primarily in the left/right channels---using the center only as a support. The back channels carry somewhat discrete information, but they are very quiet. The overall effect, then, is perhaps like really good stereo. Songs include "Subterranean Homesick Blues", "Mr. Tambourine Man", and "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)". |
