Mr. J. Bissell's "Ch. Charlemagne" in color showily marked sable and white. There was grandeur about the appearance of this dog, aided by his bright color and profuse coat, which was particularly attractive. In the bloom of his junvenility, his head and expression were pleasing; but there was just that indefinable something which denoted that his features would early deteriorate. On the occassion of his initial appearance in public, he carried his ears all but erect -- hence his position. |
