Kibbutz Revadim:
Tel Miqne archeological site
and a changing community.
Past and present

Tel Miqne: Members returning home from Jordanian captivity after Israel's War of Independance founded this Kibbutz in 1948. Revadim serves as a "home base" for the "Energizing the Leader Within" workshop. Revadim is pioneering new ways of living kibbutz life, balancing communal responsibility with individual initiative - a major challenge for the new millennium. Located 65 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, the area is rich with archeological artifacts from the Phillistine period. A history and timeline reminder is at the left.

Tel Miqne: It is an archeological site in the territory of Kibbutz Revadim. It is one of five fortified cities built in the 12th century by the Phillistines whose culture originated in the Agean Sea area.
