#23 The Fallout (Sept. 10,
2001)
Hell, the old saying goes, has no fury like a woman scorned, and in
the second-season opener, Joan's repressed anger has an unintended side effect.
Joan attempts to reconcile with Toni following the Jamaica-trip fiasco, during
which the two came to blows over the breakup of Toni's relationship. But
despite Joan's best efforts to forgive and forget, her resentment takes its
toll -- on her own scalp. Meanwhile, Yvonne shows off her engagement ring from
William; and a sudden physical change in Maya alarms Darnell.

Embarassed by her inability
to assert herself, Joan lies to her therapist about breaking her friendship with
Toni; Lynn smuggles her Jamaican boyfriend into Joan's home; a newly engaged
