Calcutta  Custom House has launched its website on 21.3.2000, in appreciation  of the  need for greater  interaction with the trade and common  people who are  keen to  have the  details of the  Customs procedure and duty-liability relating to baggage and commercial cargo. In this website, we have included a brief history of Calcutta Customs, the  Customs  Laws,  Rules  and  Regulations, Indo - Nepal Treaty of Transit, 1999, Customs Procedure under  EDI  System, current Public Notices, Exchange Rates,  Baggage  Rules  etc. Interactive  features have  been  incorporated  in the  website so that queries from public and  the  trade can be  answered through  Internet. Suggestions for improvement are welcome.
