| Responsibility
By Karen R. Porter the stupidity of the notion finally got your attention the idea that no matter what you did jail was the only option or dying, tied up beneath a truck breathing in your own poison choking on your own exhaust like a laboratory monkey unable to help yourself having to rely on the best strength your mind had to offer and there being nothing else holding onto it until your knuckles burst from the effort popped out of the flesh and the shock of that and the pain maybe waking you up to the full horror the realization of the situation that maybe you didnt start it maybe it wasnt your idea or your plan or your intention but you let it happen and that makes you guilty and everything else is simply justified next poem |
