"The Web"
By Jim Greenwald

He weaves a web with his words of love and passion as he captures her there.
You see me he says as no one can.
As he starts to draw up his web!

You own me he says, my body and soul are yours.
He draws another strand around her.
He speaks of his loves that were lost and those that caused him pain.

He draws another strand around her.
He captures her with each passing word.
He speaks of battles and victories won for only her.

She is caught now, in his web.
Each struggle she makes to free herself only tightens his web.
Tighter the web has now become, freedom will never be.

Her struggles now ended as he devours her with each bite.
Her life has now ended as he releases his web.
As he watches and waits for another prey!

"Symbiosis"
By Jim Greenwald

The sun has set as he starts his search for food.
He knows that his hunt must be successful if she is to live!
He falls upon his prey, capturing it in his strong jaw.

Hungry though he is he takes not a bite.
He carries his prey in his mighty jaw.
As the sun starts to rise, he places it at the base of the tree
where she sleeps!

His growl awakens her and she spreads her beautiful wings
and glides down to where he has placed it.
She eats while he falls asleep not far from her.
It is her turn to watch, to hunt.

For she knows if he is to live she must feed him.
She knows that when he wakes they will be one again.
This wolf and eagle!

"Seeking Freedom"
By Jim Greenwald

In the darkness that is my mind I see the dim lights of my sanity,
I turn and run, to no avail.
Trapped in the confusion of a dissolving mind, lost in my insanity,
I laugh out loud to all who will not listen.
Reaching, I try to hold onto a world I do not understand.
My mind lost in swirls of colors seeks but a single solid thought.
One hand hold, one moment of sanity, one glimpse of a lost reality.
Twisting and turning thoughts in agony, seeking a glimmer of light,
to guide my torn and shattered mind.
It is peace I seek in the darkness of no shadows.
I need to rest, to think, to reason, but they will not come.
An answer dim but foreboding lurks in the recesses of my thoughts.
Dare I go there, I know it would be an end?
It holds it light for me to see, no longer lost, no longer trapped.
Free!

"Bittersweet Tears"
By Jim Greenwald

In dreams not realized.
And promises never made.
I am drowning in a sea of
un-tasted desire.

My love lost to a silent liar's eye,
tasting only my own tears.
Your heart already shared with
someone else.
Lost wings end my flight with
your simple good-bye.

In time I may learn to deal with
the pain.
And you should know no other
can take your place.
In my sadness I can only shed
bittersweet tears.

"Do You Know Me?"
By Jim Greenwald

I am he who roams the earth unnoticed.
I search for the good, for that worth saving.
I move among you amidst your busy lives.

Always listening in case you speak!
I speak to you as I have always done.
Few seem to hear, less even care.

When I was a wolf.....I tried to teach.
When I was a turtle.....I taught healing.
When I was a spider.....I taught about the web of life.

When I was a salmon.....I instilled strength.
When I was a dolphin.....I taught harmony.
When I was an alligator.....I taught survival.

When I was a butterfly.....I taught balance.
When I was a crow.....I imparted wisdom.
When I was an eagle.....I imparted illumination.

All this and more have I given you.
I remember when you could all understand.
Why have you shut me out?  So much lost!
