Mary Bones new book, Passages and Praises, is now available at xlibris.com.

Purchase a current copy of IM to see a visual representation of The Illogical Muse. $5 in US funds.

In the next issue will be prose and poetry by Alan Britt, Marie Kazalia, Linda Woolven, Andrew McIntyre and many more. Randall Rogers is the feature and I will be reviewing the literary journal he produces from Thailand, The Beatnik Cowboy. There will also be double the artwork.

As some of you may know, next years theme is Nature and it is a special benefit issue as all the proceeds will go to Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy. SWMLC is a non-profit organization that, through grants and land easements, is able to protect hundreds of Michigans Natural Habitat. In 2006 they purchased 30 acres of land in an effort to protect the federally endangered Mitchells Satyr Butterfly and one of their biggest preservations, Wau-Ke-Na, will soon be open to the public with trails and a gift shop. For more information about their ongoing projects click on
www.SWMLC.org or write to them at 6851 S. Sprinkle Rd, Portage MI. 49002. To be included in this special benefit issue of Illogical Muse your submission must pertain to the theme and be accompanied by a monetary donation. All the usual submission guidelines apply. You can still submit by email but I must receive your donation by post before Ill consider your submission. Please make the check payable to Amber Rothrock. The money I collect will be put in an account and when a minimum of $100 has been collected I will send it off to SWMLC and publish the issue.

As much as I love poetry, I am really interested in receiving more prose. This includes fiction - I am especially interested in fantasy and experimental works but will consider all genres. i would also like to see more articles and essays and they don't necessarily have to pertain to writing. They can be about politics, religion, parenting, etc. If I find them interesting and well-written, I'll publish them. And lastly, submissions of reviews of books, magazines, movies and music are also welcomed.

And lastly, please check out my new website:
