Send up to six poems (maximum 100 lines each), 5 pieces of prose (maximum 5,000 words each; send query letter if you have something longer), or 6-8 pieces of artwork in jpg or gif format. CDs are also acceptable as well as hard copies.
Theme Issue: I am making an attempt to do the first ever theme issue for Illogical Muse. There is no set publication date as it depends upon the response I receive. It could be this year or it could be 5 years from now, but let's hope not. The theme is NATURE and it is a special benefit issue as all the proceeds will go to Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy. SWMLC is a non-profit organization that, through grants and land easements, is able to protect hundreds of Michigan�s Natural Habitat. In 2006 they purchased 30 acres of land in an effort to protect the federally endangered Mitchell�s Satyr Butterfly and one of their biggest preservations, Wau-Ke-Na,is now open to the public with trails and a gift shop. To be included in this special benefit issue of Illogical Muse your submission must pertain to the theme and be accompanied by a monetary donation. All the usual submission guidelines apply. You can still submit by email but I must receive your donation by post before I�ll consider your submission. Please make the check payable to Amber Rothrock. The money I collect will be put in an account and when a minimum of $100 has been collected I will send it off to SWMLC and publish the issue.
