Yuna: I wonder what is so special about her.
Tifa:(panting)Don't you see? She looks like some kind of monster.
Garnet: I agree.(picks her dagger out of a police officer's back)
There is something that we don't know...but whoever wants her, will
want her for research.
Tifa:(Just looks at Garnet) Research? You mean...
Garnet:Yes...the extraction of her powers.
Yuna:...
Tifa:(Sits down, shocked and whispering to herself)Hojo? Are you
behind this?
(Images of Nibelheim Mako reactor,
the pods containing people's mutated bodies,
the reactor that was made into a shrine,
to the one who destroyed the Ancients: Jenova)
Tifa:No. I can't believe this...Nibelheim is behind of all of this?

Final Fantasy:Angels of Light
Chapter 5: Research and Revelations, Part 1

(Terra is in a dream-like state)
Terra:Where am I?
(Terra opens her eyes and sees the dark, earthen walls of the Narshe
Coal Mines,
the gatway that she and Locke used to to escape from the imperial
troops)
Terra:...(Looks around)I'm back in Narshe?
(Terra gets up and walks towards the cave entrance.
On her right side, she looks at the switch that opens the rock door
to the outside.
She goes over it and flips it up, the door rock opens and a white
bright light shines in her face)
Terra:(Blinded by the Light)I'm home?
(No...)
Terra:(looks over and draws her sword out)..Who's there?
(She walks and comes outside, but her eyes widen at what she sees in
horror)
Terra:No...
(She sees Narshe burning in flames,
the stench of dead bodies burning fills her nostrils and gags to the
side,
holding her hand over mouth and nose, covering it from the horrible
stench)
Terra:What has happened here?
(Time Compression...Death and Destruction)
(You see...You thought you have defeated Kefka, you were wrong.)
(The invisible voice takes human form and Terra, horrified sees
what's in front of her)
Terra:Kefka...
Kefka:Yes..I am reborn...mwahahahahahaha!(letting out his evil famous
laugh)
Kefka:You, a case for a self-help booklet has survived hasn't it?
Do you know why you were summoned to Midgar?
Terra:No...I do not. But that doesn't mean I can't still finish you
off...
Kefka:You see, it's because of your heart.
What have you gotten in there, has called me.
That dark soul that reflects your imperial upbringing..
You did everything without questions...
(Walks over to her and slides his finger across her face)
Terra:No, I was manipulated by that slave crown..you put that on me.
Kefka: I did? No, my dear child, someone else did that to you...
(Terra glares at him)
Terra:Who?
(Kefka points to a Imperial General riding on a pale dark horse.Terra
looks to
where he is pointing at and becomes more horrified)
Kefka:Yourself. (he disapears and Terra starts screaming)
(Terra struggles and opens her eyes,
and sees that she is inside a room covered in metal with strange
tools by her side)
(Scarlet turns on the intercom)
Scarlet: I see you are wide awake, now. You enjoyed your little nap?
Terra(Glaring at her):...
Scarlet: I'll take that as yes. Tell me, who are you?
Terra: I'm Terra Branford from Narshe. General in the Returners.
Scarlet:Narshe? Returners?
(Scarlet puts her hand over the intercom)
Scarlet:What the hell does she mean by that?
(Scarlet takes her hand off the intercom)
Scarlet:What is Narshe or more precisely, where is it?
(Terra hears the inquisitive tone in Scarlet's voice)
Terra:It's a coal mining town. Located north of the Moving Castle of
Figaro.
Scarlet:I see. So Coal is their main source of power?
Terra:Yes.
(Ask her if this town has any magical properties)
Scarlet:Does this town has any magical properties?
Terra:Once. An Esper was found there during the Empire's attack. At
the time,
I was under an influence and did things that you may
find...Horrifying.
Terra: I did things for the Empire, wiped out towns and cities...and
I was born
with a power called "Magic".
(Magic? Could she be a sorceress?)
(I sense she does not belong in this world)
Scarlet: Are you from this world?
Terra:No...(Her face turns to the right side.)
Scarlet: Very well. I see,(Her voice becomes menacing) that I take
over your body.
(Terra, snaps to the side and sees a white mist coming from the
interrogation booth.
Scarlet falls sideways and hits the metal floor hard)
(Terra, being locked up, sensed that this being, whatever it was,
wasn't from this
world, that it sent it's mind through time and space, and before
blacking out, could
see in her mind's eye, a city torn by war, with her being in charge)
(Yes...you are a sorceress)
(The road between Kalm and the Chocobo Ranch)
Yuna:This world is very strnage...I sense a tranquil presence about
it.
(Yuna sees the mountains in the distance to her right, while a river
flows it's
crystalline waters to the left)
Rinoa:Well, at least there's not a lot of monsters.
Garnet: True.
Tifa: Well, if you guys want to fight monsters...The Midgar Zolom is
your best bet.
Rinoa, Garnet and Yuna: No Thanks!
(Tifa chuckles slightly)
(Tifa, since she is the strong one of the group, is carrying the
supplies, while
Yuna, had a lot of items in her bag, Rinoa, being the scout, and
Garnet, not trying to
faint in the Midgar sun)
Garnet:How  far more is it?
Tifa: A couple of miles away. We should be there pretty soon.
Garnet:Good...cause I'm starving.(Her stomach grumbles)
Rinoa:Well, I hate to say this...but I haven't found anything.
Yuna: Looking for treasure?
Rinoa:Yep.(smiles at her)
(Soon, they see the Chocobo farm in the distance, and all of them
hurry it up,
until a Malboro comes after them. Yuna turns around)
Yuna:(shouting)There is a monster behind us...
Tifa:What?(she turns around and sees a big fat tentacle shoot out
from the underbelly of
the beast. Tifa dodges it, jumping 3 feet in the air)
(Garnet turns around and sees another tentacle shot from it, coming
in her direction,
when she casts Protect)
(Rinoa, aims her pinwheel and fires at it, cutting both tentacles,
while another one goes
straight for her, and Yuna, seeing the situation, casts fire and
haste from the Materia she
bought)
(The Malboro screams in pain as the fire starts to consume it. Tifa
lands on the Malboro and does
a flurry of blows until she feels her finger light up, and strkes.
The Malboro fries in the punch)
Rinoa: That was good, Tifa.(Comes to her side)
Tifa:Thanks.(Wipes her brow away from the sweat.)
Tifa:Anyway, what is a Malboro doing here? They usually are at the
North Cave.
Garnet:Probably it likes warmer climates, since you told me about how
cold is it over there.
Tifa:Well, whatever it was doing here, it won't follow us anymore.
(Garnet, Tifa, Rinoa and Yuna start walking again, leaving the
charred carcass of the Malboro behind)
(Nibelheim Mako Reactor)
(The white mists covering the metal pods which held mutated human
beings inside from the Mako poisoning are gone.
Probably destroyed after the Shin-Ra fell, but mostly, the Shin-Ra,
scared of what was in this cursed place, decided to
destroyed the evidence if this place was ever found out by the press.
In the doorway that led up to the chamber of Jenova,
the Moster from The Sky, it was dismantled and thrown out, or used
for scrap metal. A white light starts emitting from the
chamber door, glowing, ever pulsating, until a twined hand emerges
from it.)

Preview of Next Chapter:
At long last, the group arrives at the Chocobo Ranch. But at Junon,
Terra, under the influence of Ultimecia, begins to escape and leaves
for Nibelheim. As for Jenova...The awakening of her has arrived.
Tifa, and the others leave for Junon, and they will see the ultimate
destruction. Next Time on Final Fantasy:Angels of Light, Chapter
6:Research and Revelations, Part 2. The Mystery deepens, while Jenova
awakes.

Author's Notes:Finally, Chapter 5 is done. I hope you guys liked the
teaser and I think it was a little bit longer than the last chapter.
I think Research and Revelations will be at least 4 parts, as the
group finds what the heck is going on in Midgar. They will arrives at
Nibelheim, but Tifa will be shocked what she finds in the final part.
