Five Questions With... If These Walls Could Talk 2's Michelle Williams
By Len P. Feldman

How did you make your intimate scenes with Chloe Sevigny seem so heartfelt and genuine? You really appear to be two women falling in love.
"Well, that's because she and I are dating. I'm joking. Have you seen Chloe? It's not hard. She was thrilling to work with and exciting and real and honest and that made it all very easy."

You do quite a bit of partial nudity and simulated sex in If These Walls Could Talk 2. Before you take on a project like this, do you ever consider your WB image and how your younger fans might react?
"I use my heart and my mind and my soul in my work so why shouldn't I use my body? I'm not ashamed of my body. I'm self-conscious, but when it's necessary to the work, I don't find that to really be a problem. It's not just about the nudity. There are so many more issues surrounding this project. The sexuality is just one of them."

What did you personally hope to achieve with this project?
"To make a difference. To open somebody's eyes. Even it's one or two or three people. To induce change and ruin prejudice."

Do you have many gay friends?
"Yes I do. Some of the dearest people in my life. And it infuriates me and hurts me to see the people that I love be discriminated against or looked down upon. This was an awesome chance to sort of show my support and love for them."

On Dawson's Creek you play an isolated, jaded teen who's been discarded by her parents and here you play a young woman exploring a different sexual lifestyle. What other issues would you like tackle on film and TV in the future?
"I guess all the issues surrounding women [such as] abortion. The Republican presidential debates really upset me. Anything that's a challenge and anything that's a risk."
