RELIGIOSITY AS A PATHOLOGICAL CONDUCT

It is not the first time that somebody shows its preoccupation to me by the religious people mental state. A praiseworthy intention without a doubt. I ask because they also do not analyze to some atheists, many of which demonstrate personalities considerably more interesting: some could even consider a case of demonic possession... sure those questions do not exist, is mere paranoia of ignorant and reactionary people... And it is this question which worries to me. I notice in certain medical sector a tendency to identify the religious factor with a deep upheaval of the conscience. Of the same form that the Romans until death condemned the unreligious people, now these pseudoscientists try to condemn the religion to treaties of psychiatry. The religiosidad like mental upheaval, that is the tendency to follow. I ask myself if the following step will be to moor us to chair and to apply electroshock to us of high amperage to try to eradicate of our brains that " strange body of religious nature ". If this does not work, it will always be possible to send us to the gas chambers to the Nazi style. In my opinion, the atheism is, simply, an irrational ideology. Its more remarkable result is the hedonism. The search of the pleasure at all costs is the dominant vital ideology. The result, aside from its religious connotations more than foreseeable, is a humanity chained to the obsession by the money, to the routine and brutal work, the anguish of a life presided over by the vanality of the pleasure. An ephemeral pleasure, that always is remembered in the brain, but that never is sufficient to cover nor the most miserable portion with the human yearnings. But this is vanality. This is the plain of modern life, the future happy promised by apologets of God-science. The religiosity, however, is a mere atavism of ill spirits, say the psychiatrists to it...

In certain occasion a psychologist commented to me: The priests are considered like pathological cases. That one is, to consider the religion like destructive pathology. And he is not that he has desire to make me the martyr, is simply the establishment of a current of scientific thought that seems to extend more and more to the general society. In any case, the authentic faith must be demonstrated indeed in these adverse situations, as they demonstrated the numerous martyrs of the past. I am afraid that many will have problems to admit it; but the faith is the greater gift than a man can be done to him. I hope that someday they get to understand his true meaning.
