"I am Weasel" is an episodic
cartoon about the exploits of a weasel, whose name conincidentally is
"I.M. Weasel" and his nemesis "I.R. Baboon". I.M.
Weasel is handsome, famous, rich, and powerful, and I.R. Baboon is insanely
jealous of those qualities. Later in the series, it seems as though Baboon
conceeded to Weasel's success, and instead became his collaborator and
assistant. Often times, they would instead conspire to foil the efforts
of "The Red Guy", the devilishy fiendish character from "Cow
and Chicken".
"I
Am Weasel" Began as a backup cartoon to David Feiss' creation "Cow
and Chicken". As the show grew in popularity, it eventually became
it's own separate series, yet still tied to the wonderful and surrealistic
world of Cow and Chicken. The show began production in July of 1996, and
subsequent airings began an year later. The show ceased production in
September of 1999. David Feiss was was credited with directing or co-directing
every episode, as well as storyboard and writing credit for many of the
individual episodes. Other artists to participate in the production of
"I am Weasel" include Maxwell Atoms (Grim and Evil), Vincent
Waller (Ren and Stimpy), Chris Savino (Dexter's Lab), and Bob Camp (Ren
and Stimpy). Long time animation writer Michael Ryan, and comedian Steve
Marmel were also contributors to the show.
