The Savage Garden is a private role play group based on Anne Rice�s conception of the Vampire Chronicles, the rules of game play are very simple. 1. Anyone can play if his or her request is accepted. We reserve the right to deny or remove a membership for whatever reasons we seem necessary (a rarity indeed). 2. All Characters must be approved to be played, all unapproved character posts may be deleted by a group Elder. 3. Only one ancient or Mayfair can be registered to this group and any given time, meaning only one Lestat, one Marius, one Pandora, etc. To play an Ancient Character you must consult with Lestat himself and prove to him that you know your character. If he approves your request you will be the only role-player officially playing the chosen or ancient name for this group. All such names belong to HSG and must be willingly returned to HSG if the member resigns or is removed; names will not be approved if member does not agree to the later. 4. Only living vamp ancients or Mayfair can register with this group. If you're Claudia, Magnus, Akasha or Nicolas, etc., sorry, you're DEAD. We won't acknowledge you unless you're a Ghost (check the database at Hunters Estate for a list of Dead Rice Vamps and Characters). 5. All RP is Valid, will explain this now. Role-play can take place in PM or IM if the role player remains in-character. Any role-play with even non-members of this group is valid and can be added to the storyline of this group. We also have a chat room for members only. There are no post regulations, just courtesy, trying to play fair but remember: supernatural character may be able to move very fast, or have other abilities such as transforming into some other form ex: a vamp of Anne Rice can move extremely fast and a demon can often change to a non-human looking form. The entire world of chat and groups is considered the hunting and living grounds of our group, so any in-character role-play can be added to this group�s storyline if the role-player chooses. 6. Dead List Rules: If killed by a member of Hunters you are legally dead within HSG. The only way that a dead character name will be acknowledged from that time forth is as a Ghost. To make a ghost name change the name suffix to a "_g" with the date of death following. ex. sara_livinson_g2001 from sara_livinson_h1962. No kills can take place on the "wall" of Hunters Estate, (the group site). All deaths must be one on one role-play with their opponent. A player need not be asked if they wish their character killed or given the dark trick within role-play. 7. An Ancient or a 3-month-old vamp can give a human the Dark Gift. This is not according to the writings but to speed things up for new players. 8. We request that all active members try to post at least once a week. Members who do not post for 30 days can be reduced to guest membership level and denied the right to post without conferring first with an Elder of HSG. We enjoy your input and your creativity; we all have unique things to share. It is in that sharing that good friends are made. (Good friends are the makings of good memories and what are we but a collection of memories; let us create great memories together.) 9. All official members must have their name and a _suffix with date-format following (ex. Lestat_v1780 for a vamp or Sara_Rainfiel_h1968 for human etc.). 10. No porn for porn sake, will explain this. This is an adult group, and of course there may be on occasion adult subject matter, but any adult subject matter must be done in good taste and within the bounds of the role play, with appropriate warnings in the post header. We are not interested in your cyber activities, HSG is not a cyber-sex group and such posts it will not be tolerated. A member that posts such material or an adult material post without appropriate warning in the post will be subject to loss of posting privileges, loss of membership and possible banning from HSG. Appropriate post heading (title) warning example: Warning Adult Material. 11. Hunters are social creatures, all members must interact with family members as often as possible, no cliques allowed. 12.
