CSL: Info Savage Tells The Story Of Lestat... Continued
Page 2 of 2
Memnoch stepped into the journey then. He took my Masters deepest desires, and used them to twist him and used him to wreak havoc on this world once again. Lestat could have been trapped forever at his side had he not escaped the realm of hell. Memnoch tried to cling to him, but in the end, he only claimed one eye, which he had ripped from my Masters face in a struggle. My Master Lestat, horrified from his journey, went to Manhattan where he gave Dora, a woman televangelist that Lestat had sworn to help, the veil that brought so many deaths in the name of the lord God. Lestat had been twisted and torn to such a degree that he now hid away in the halls of St. Elizabeth, where Louis and Maharet, one of the red-haired twins, came to him with his eye and a message from Memnoch. Maharet chained my Master and told him the words from Memnoch. The words of Memnoch tore Lestats soul in two. His despair was great. His anger greater, into darkness Lestat fell, and for many years he was too distant for many to even approach.

He has been this way since, even though he is once again out amongst the members of his kind, he still is distant and often very solitaire. I hear him in his room speaking to himself some times. Like two lunatics raging at each other. The works of Kehleb and my old Master Mordreds have attacked his kind now for the last few years. Lestat and his kind continue to quest after each of the elders of the Coven of Darkness Falls. They have killed all but one.  Cro, my old and beloved Master, was reborn into his true form and is now Eric, as they call him. They wish for Kehleb, he that created the pleasures of Darkness Falls. I saw Kehlebs heart, and I know he held much from me because of my loyalty to my Masters Mordred and Cronan. I know Master Mordred destroyed himself to protect Cronan and the Sumerians. All brought forth by Kehleb in his mockery of all that my Master Mordred desired and created. Mordred was not an evil man, nor are the Sumerians, and Master Cro, even in his renewed vampire form, he is still an image of kindness. They were good to me, my Masters.  My Master Lestat is good to me as well. He has fulfilled my purpose, even Mordred would agree. Master Lestat is a broken soul; he has seen the truth, drank the oldest of bloods in this realm; and drank the purist of blood in heaven. He has traveled to the worlds and in times as freely as Memnoch. He wants to be redeemed; I feel it in his spirit. He wants to save this world willingly this time and he knows Kehlebs vision wishes to destroy it. I see the desire in his eyes to find this last threat to his kind, the book of Magnus. I heard him speak of it even as he lay there in his burning healing. His blood is strong, my Master Lestat, but his soul dredges on. I will help him find the witch deFaye.  I will stand beside him; I know my Master Mordred would want it so. Then, maybe, my master will be closer to this redemption he seeks. Perhaps that is why he walked into the sun, to redeem himself?  Is that what he sees death as, for I am certain Memnoch taught him better. Redemption can only be found in life.
