| Level 2 Summary: The Second Witch Level 2 of The Witches 3 has successfully concluded, with the return of our old friend Eric - Cronan, the 2nd Witch the Ancients have been looking for - to the arms of his loving mother Maharet. As we all know the first witch, Michael Devonwood, was killed while in a drunken drug-induced rage by Rowan Mayfair. This left us two witches from the Sumerian Cult to be concerned with: Cronan Vandenburg and Kehleb de'Faye. When we last left our summary, Lestat had kidnapped Cronan, believing that the witch had enchanted Maharet. |
| Cont.... He took Cronan to a motel, where he held him for several days, not allowing him to feed. When Lestat caught wind of Maharet's intentions, he contacted Armand and arranged for Cronan/Eric to be held in an underground cellar room beneath Armand' estate at Nights Island. When Maharet went to look for them at the motel, she found the room secured but empty except for the body of a dead young female hooker. Lestat dropped Cronan/Eric off at Nights Island, then returned to his castle estate. Once he returned he went into a silent slumber in the dark chambers in the lower levels of the castle. He stayed in that slumber until Maharet and Rowan came to question him on the whereabouts of Cronan/Eric. Lestat stood his ground, Maharet hers, until the truth regarding Cronan's making became known through the lips of Savage the Blood Demon. This truth was that Eric, an ancient vampire and child of Maharet, had been kidnapped by Mordred Gallagher, the 7th elder of the Sumerian witch coven in New York. Eric had been held until his body had been rendered mortal from a body thief ritual that went wrong. The spell had failed due to a demon's interference. Cronan was born from the empty shell of Eric. Eric's memories were wiped from his mind, his body was rendered mortal. Lestat agreed immediately to take Maharet to her son. Thus, Eric was returned to Sonoma and is currently under care of Maharet and Mael. Savage the Blood Demon was released by Lestat to go and assist Eric and stay near him now as an old friend and as his protector, provider. The End of the current level (2) finds the Ancients still unsure of where Kehleb de'Faye is hidden or what plans he may still have. Lestat seeks revenge for the injuries to his companions and self, but most of all Lestat seeks the book of Magnus, the journal of his maker. We shall now proceed to Level three, the final level of The Witches 3. Lestat |
