Dinner at St. Cyr's, an eighteenth century colonial brick house converted into a restaurant, just across the Capitol Beltway into Fairfax County, Virginia. Dirk Pitt is thinking of making a smoked salmon omelet when Loren calls and they decide to go out to the restaurant.

Appetizer: The house pate with truffles, followed by vichyssoise.
