Company Development:
Wolfgang Klemperer was already engaged at the Aachener Segelflugzeugbau GmbH since 1920. In 1923 Theodor von Karman and Wolfgang Klemperer of the aerodynamic institute at the Rheinisch-Westfaelisch Technische Hochschule Aachen asked Hugo Junkers for a cooperation in scientific research questions of glider planes and light aircraft. Hugo Junkers supplied his rooms of the Versuchsanstalt Aachen at the Koenigsstrasse and allowed Klemperer and Karman to use the Junkers windchannel at the Frankenburg. Junkers supplied also an initial funding for the research group and bought the Aachener Segelflugzeugbau GmbH - SEF from Klemperer for that reason.

SEF developed a light two seater training aircraft with a landing sky in 1923. In 1924 researches were performed in the field of light construction metals.
