Similar species – Spot-winged Glider (Pantala hymenaea).


Flight season: tends to arrive later in the season, about August.

Population: irregular, a migratory dragonfly that is not seen every summer.

Length: about 45 mm to 50 mm.


Tweed, north shore of Stoco Lake: sand-bottomed beach and swimming area with very little vegetation along the shoreline.
