Sasol Technology is a partner in creating and improving the sustainable competitive advantage of Sasol.

In 1950 Sasol's original plant in Sasolburg, South Africa was developed, engineered and constructed with MW Kellogg as managing contractor. Initially the Research and Development department was responsible for all technical services required within the company which included engineering services and project management. Towards the end of the Sasol Three project in 1982 all technical services were consolidated into a new company, Sasol Technology.
Since then Sasol Technology has spear-headed Sasol's aggressive product and technology diversification efforts, developing and investigating technologies to match world market requirements and to design and build plants to meet the resulting demands.
