*Das ist Lübke-Englisch. Ein native speaker würde sagen: "... turns my heart beat into a rattle".
**Tja, das wäre logisch; aber Sprachen sind nun mal nicht logisch - die englische gleich garnicht. Man sagt "as happy as can be" - ohne "it"!
***Das ist Schul-Englisch, und der Lehrer würde es wahrscheinlich nichtmal als Fehler anstreichen; aber besser wäre "drives". Vielleicht wollte der Texter eine Wiederholung vermeiden, weil es ja auch in der nächsten Strophe vorkommt.
