Welcome to the Gundam Wing Colosseum's Gundam Wing Concealed. Once again... an insightful, yet confusing topic for this month: The Endless Waltz "Original" Gundams.
As most of you know... after the end of the Gundam Wing Series, we were hit with something awe inspiring... the Gundam Wing movie, Endless Waltz. The animation is not just eye candy, the music is another thing to brag about.
Even though Endless Waltz might be astonishing to our senses, it also includes a semi-twisted and tangled plot, where you have to pay attention closely, and watch it over a couple of times. ^_^ One of the most confusing things about Endless Waltz is the ongoing quesion, "Why were the Gundams upgraded?"
The answer is simple really... After the end of the Gundam Wing Series, Sunrise decided to make the Gundam Wing Movie, Endless Waltz. As it turns out, that designer (Kunio Okawaraleft), so Sunrise hired another designer [Hajime Katoki (thanks to Lord Satorious for this info)]. He didn't feel right about using someone else's ideas, so instead, he created his own views and ideas of the Gundams. So he always saw Wing Zero with angel wings; D-Hell with a bat man cape thing, Heavyarms with 4 catling guns and tonnes more ammo; sandrock with a cape and blue-purple colour; and nataku/altron with cooler dragon fangs (no offense to the first designer... I didn't mean to badmouth your views and ideas of your Gundams). |
