Minimum System Required:

-         OS/2 warp (ver. 3 recommended)

-         PC: 386 or higher, 8Mb RAM, 10Mb harddisk space

  1. Install OS/2 and follow the installation instruction as usual. OS/2 should be place in the same directory with Windows. You can switch the system from OS/2 to Windows by typing c:\>boot <space> /dos, otherwised in Windows mode you can switch back to OS/2 by typing c:>\os2\boot <space> /os2.
  2. Make sure you have complete set of XTEL Program, ie: XPROSYS, XPROPRJ and UTIL507. Copy XTEL program into the harddisk. For safety reason, it is recommended to copy all the XTEL software to the another partition instead of copy in the same partion with system files (windows, OS/2)
  3. In OS/2 command mode, copy autoexec.bat and config.sys to the root directory of c:\ or primary partition. These files contain information of the configuration that optimized  the XTEL to run properly. The setting of the path should be in D drive. If you are located XTEL program in another path or directory, please change it. (Use TEDIT for OS/2 or EDIT for Windows) Please re-check the content of both files and confirm all the setting (eg: path) is correct. Reboot the system to allow the changes in the configuration to take effect.
  4. From OS/2 command mode run the xtel program from where the XTEL program installed. The location should be in <DRIVE>:\><PATH>..\XPROSYS|EXE|XTEL.EXE

Note: During dual-boot switching, autoexec & config.sys in the <drive>:\><path>\os2\boot\ will swap with the existing file in the root directory that represent which mode operated previously.
