Get to Gether Musical Program
A Report by Magazine Management


Arranged by the students of LL.B Part II

On 29th of May, 2004 the students of this year’s LL.B-II in their previous academic year conducted a marvellous “Get Together Musical Program” at Govt. Sindh Law College, Hyderabad. The organizers of this programme were C.R of the class Mr. Waqar Ali Laghari and Mr. Yasir Rajper while Mustafa Soomro, Hyder Memon, Shahid Laghari, Jam Khan Shoro, Tariq Pathan, Raj Kumar and Qazi Intikhab were in Function Management


The chief guest of the get-together was Mr. Ahmed Ali Sheikh, Principal Govt. Sindh Law College. The other eminent teachers present at the party were Mr. Ayaz Latif Palijo, Mr. Jawaid Bukhari, and Mr. Moharram G. Baloch in company with other teachers and staff of Govt. Sindh Law College Hyderabad.

The function started exactly at 6:00 pm with the recitation of a Surah from the holy Quran by Mr. Faraz Baloch. The duties of comparing & stage secretary were performed by Mr. Yasir Rajper after conveying the welcome speech in which he warmly welcomed the Honourable Principal and the respected teacher, and his fellow students with enthusiastic words. He also defined the purpose of “ The Get Together Musical Program” he said that, that was the first step towards the destiny of life time friendship and a small effort to let the students know each other more as that was the beginning of their very first academic year in Govt. Sindh Law College, Hyderabad.

The welcome speech was followed by different speeches on social, political and law related topics by, Ms. Abida Jalbani, Jam Khan Shoro, Sain Bux Zerdari, Habib-ur-Rehman and many more.

After the completion of the speeches a comedy skit “A Brilliant LL.B Student” Directed and written by Mr. Yasir Rajper was performed, in which an indecent, illiterate and previously fake degree holding student (played by Mr. Rajper) was interviewed by a sensible person (played by Mr. Qazi Intikhab) It was a critical skit performed in a very light, funny and exciting manner. All the audience including Honourable Principal and respectable teachers were found breathlessly laughing, and the entire atmosphere changed from seriousness to cheerful and more relaxing.

Keeping the cheerful environment alive the mood of the audience was smoothly changed towards the poetry with a few comic lines of poetry by Mr. Rajper, and the students who came up with the beautiful, marvellous and magnificent poems in different regional and national languages were, Tariq Pathan, Mustafa Soomro, Khalid Thaim, Qazi Intikhab, Huma Khan, and Mumtaz Lashari who recited a comic poem for the C.R of the class Waqar Ali Laghari which was enjoyed by all teachers as well as students.

After the conclusion of the poetry section, the Honourable Principal was called upon the stage to share his views and reviews, with a round of applaud, in which he said that “it is really an honour to me to know that I have such brilliant and talented students in this college. I am very happy to be with you today, and the students, who have conducted this beautiful and auspicious event, are the assets of this college and it is a very beautiful function which I never witnessed before in the history of Govt. Sindh Law College.” He further explained the importance and dignity of this profession by giving example of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of this country was also a lawyer. He also told the students about the ex-students of this college who have reached the apex elevation of judiciary like the previous Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Justice Nazimuddin Siddiqui. He also appreciated the performance of all the participants.

The function was then moved into the third phase of Musical Program with a parody song in the voices of different famous Pakistan singers by Mr. Yasir Rajper which gave encouragement to the rest of the students and they all one by one came up to sing a song. The students who performed were, Mumtaz Lashari, who again sang a parody song for the C.R of the class, Azher Hussain Arbab, Hussain Bux Chachar, Naseer Narijo, Mustafa Soomro, and Yasir Rajper.

Afterwards the respectable teacher of Govt. Sindh Law College, Mr. Ayaz Latif Palijo was invited on stage. He expressed his appreciations as “I congratulate all of you from the depth of my hear, specially the C.R of this class Mr. Waqar Ali Laghari, Mr. Rajper and the participants. You have done a wonderful job. It is totally an honour for me to be here among you, and I am thankful to you for inviting me. I am Happy to see your enthusiasm and energetic performances & specially Mr. Rajper and the participants; you have done a wonderful job. It is totally an honour for me to be here among you, and I am thankful to you for inviting me. I am Happy to see your enthusiasm and energetic performances & specially Mr. Rajper who is a versatile man”. He also shared some beautiful poems of Ibn-e-Ansha and Sheikh Ayaz and others, which were enjoyed by all the students in applauds.

About 11:00 pm. The dinner was served in proper catering. After taking supper the ending of this beautiful function took place with a round of group photo graphs of students with the respectable teachers. You can find the whole photo coverage of this marvellous function at Pictures Gallary.
