The
first academic year was started with below twenty students
in few class rooms of the N.H. Academy High School (adjoining
Government High School No-1) building.
Since then, the Govt: Sindh Law College has been successfully
imparting legal education. The several numbers of students
of this law college have occupied high positions in Government
Services as well as in public life of the country. This college
has at its credit, a handsome number of students, who are
actively and efficiently working in several sectors of the
national life, as well as provincial judicial apex.
The college has been nationalized from 1st September, 1972,
in pursuance of the “New Educational Policy”.
Since then, the college has come under the administrative
control of the Board of Governors for Law Colleges in Sindh
and now Board of Governors for Law Colleges affiliated with
University of Sindh, Jamshoro, constituted by Government of
Sindh.
The college has been lucky to secure the services of the well
known, eminent and senior most members of the High Court Circuit
Bench, Bar Association & District Bar Association, Hyderabad,
teach the prescribed coursed. The present members of teaching
staff are quite well-equipped and experienced to teach their
respective subjects.
The college is located in the heart of the city, i.e. Risala
Road, Society Chowk, opposite Goal Building, and is easily
accessible to the residents of various localities of the interior
Sindh /City.
The college has played predominant role in the field of legal
education since 1948.
