Tetris is one of those rare games that is both irritating beyond belief and stupidly addictive, which makes it no surprise to reveal that tetris is the most played game worldwide.
Gameplay wise this game is tight, it doesnt try to be anything its not... its a block game and it doesnt hide it, even though it sticks to one genre it still succeeds in hypnotising the player into a xen like state where they play in a trance... it will last you the rest of your life!
A Second Opinion:
Graphic-wise the game consists of a border, some digitised numbers and blocks of various shapes, not hugely interesting but fully functional... though it can become immensly boring to stare at after hours of constant play.
Musically the game is annoying and addictive... youll have music set 1 running through your mind as you sleep... its so eeevil! thankfully you can turn the music off leaving you with simple bleeps... which are equally annoying...
Overall I'd say this game is one guilty pleasure that noone likes to admit they like but they still do... like porn... yeah, though heavily pixelated... so anyhoo, this game is an undoubted classic, play it at your own descression, it's block-contained evils are unbounded.
