Arild Sværen
Hans Petter Hansen & The Jan Høiland's in the headlines
01.03.02: Watch out for "Real Ararat" and "Hans Petter Hansen & The Jan Høiland's", two of the favorites to this weekends Radio 1 Løkkecup, was the ingress in Stavanger Aftenblad on Friday. "I've heard about Real Ararat, but don't know whom that play on the team. I've heard they have done it well in Bergen," said Arild Sværen. The former SIF, Viking, and now Buøy player is together with some of Vaulen's first team players and old boys keeper Eirik Sunde the strongest team with the incredible long name Hans Petter Hansen & The Jan Høiland's. Sværen was asked to join the team, answered yes and enjoys himself. The games in Radio 1 Løkkecup starts this afternoon, and the tournament ends on Sunday. "To play indoors is fun, as simply as that. It's some different than the normal arranged football," said the 33 year old, that also is youth team coach for Viking.

Vaulen's 4-1 win on Friday mean that they only theoretical can fail to advance to the Quart final. Three games are left and Buøy, Sandnes and Vaulen can win the group. But as Sandnes and Buøy have left an intern meeting less points is to share.

05.03 Buøy - Sandnes

FIRST HALF
Vaulen started well the first minutes. Pedro Salgado thundered the ball into the net in the beginning of the game. After 20. minutes of play Pedro picked up a stretch injury and had to leave the pitch. It's not known how long Pedro will be out injured, but we hope that Pedro will be ready as soon as possible. Rest of the half was a black chapter. Orre won the duels and seemed to be more used to the difficult gravel surface. It was deserved when they putted in the equalizer after about 35. minutes.
SECOND HALF
After the tea break Vaulen was a lot better. Inge Martin Hinna made it 2-1, before Eirik Ekholdt was awake on a rebound from a Hinna freekick. The experienced center half giant Kjetil Aasland made his season debut a quarter before the end. It didn't took long before Aasland met an Anders Idsø corner solid on his. The ball went into the net and Vaulen won 4-1! Orre was a weak team, but it show strength that Vaulen can win on a not that good day.

Haugvaldstad's first loss as boss
07.03.02: Vaulen (1) 1 - 3 (2) Sandnes
It was known that Vaulen was through to the Quart final in the SR serien already before the game at home to Sandnes. But the 3-1 loss on Thursday should mean that Tore Haugvaldstad got his first loose as Vaulen manager. It had to come one time, but it was perhaps a bit odd that it should come against his former club.

It was deserved win for Sandnes on Hinna kunstgress. Sandnes got a quick 2-0 lead after 5. and 15. minutes.
Jan Erik Ahlstrand Pedersen reduced the lead after an half hour. He met an Idsø corner with his knee and scored a beautiful goal.
This gave Vaulen a little go, but it ended with the attempts. The decision came in the 62. minute when a Sandnes player turned around on the 5-meter line and placed the ball in the top corner.
A lot of rotating on the team, meant that the team never managed to settle. The players was moved around in different positions to be tested. This was perhaps not the best for the game, but on the other side it was important for Haugvaldstad to get tested out players in different positions.
Vaulen ended as number two in their group. They will therefor meet Hundvåg away in the Quart final. The game will be played at Hundvåg grus on Wednesday 20. March at 19.00.

Jan Tore Kleiberg
Kleiberg have a go with Vaulen
12.03.02: Former Viking player Jan Tore Kleiberg is training with the team at the moment. On Monday he was training with the team, if he decide to sign he will be a strength to the team. The 20 year old decided to cancel his part time contract with Viking some months ago, telling that he was tired off football. Jan Tore was in Hinna FK until he was 15 years old, and lives very close to the pitch where Vaulen train. The club have tried to get in Kleiberg a while, but at first he didn't wanted as he was fed up with football. Now anyhow will he have a go with the team a while, before he eventual decide if he wants to sign. Kleiberg was most used as a defender in Viking and actually got one league appearance for them against Molde in 2001. Though he admits that he prefer to play in the midfield. "I'm more involved with the ball there, and enjoy myself better offensive," said Kleiberg. It's though expected that Kleiby will leave to Australia in September to study, but he will anyhow get to play most of the league games if he choose to continue in the club.
Alexander Landsnes travel to a cottage instead
Ganddal next for Vaulen

Vaulen to meet Sandnes in Cup clash!
13.03.02: Vaulen have drawed to meet Sandnes in the first qualify round of the Norwegian cup. The game will be played at home in week 17.
Vaulen met Sandnes in SR serien, then they lost 3-1. But the result wasn't that important in that game as Haugvaldstad used the game to look at different player.
Sandnes FK in Cup
01: R1 Vard H. 1-2
00: QR1 Figgjo 3-2
QR2 Eiger 3-2
R1 Vard H. 2-5
99: R1 Vidar 4-5
Vaulen boss Tore Haugvaldstad was manager for Sandnes FK until 19. March last year, when Øystein Tveit replaced him. But Sandnes had a hard season and relegated to the 3. division.
However have Sandnes failed to pass the first round the last three seasons. So with massive support from the home fans at Hinnabanen should the Beachboys manage to advance to the further stage.

Loss despite Youth deliverance
15.03.02: Ganddal (2) 2 - 1 (0) Vaulen
Due to injuries and travels etc. etc. had Vaulen only nine outfield players available for the game against Ganddal on Friday. Therefor were the four Junior players Narat Nordbotn (18), Erik Rafoss (17), Ruben Johnsen (16) and Christian Lyse (16) added to the squad. Right full back Erik Rafoss got his debut from start and made himself remarked with good positioning in addition to be good on the head and having precise passes going forward.
FIRST HALF
Vaulen started a bit fumbling but the play was disturbed with a strong wind that should show the world at least 22 new haircuts at Lundehaugen grus.
The game was dominated with a lot of players in unfamiliar positions and a rather poor pass quality. Ganddal opened well with a header in the bar after only 5. minutes.
Vaulen had one ball into the net with Inges after 20. minutes, but the goal was judged for offside - a dubious decision by the referee according to our reports.
Ganddal got the lead after a 34. minute cross from the left was headed past Tom Arne Bø Pedersen in the Vaulen goal. Only five minutes later they doubled the lead on a counter attack after a Vaulen free had hitted the wall.

13. Naret Nordbotn45
Two changes was made at half time. Stein Ivar Andersen had to go out with a minor ankle injury. In came Junior player Narat Nordbotn that should get his debut. Also he can be proud of his presence. Else was the two goalies again playing each half, meaning that Bjarne Hov got the last 45. minutes. Else Tore Haugvaldstad rotated a bit in the midfield as "Bønna" Husebø switched around with Oli Bredesen.
Vaulen's second half should be a lot better. They produced many chances. But the only one that managed to convert it was Erik Ekholdt that was awake on a rebound from Inge Martin Hinna's 20 meter shot in the bar. He chested in the 1-2 goal after 55. minutes. Vaulen failed to get another goal, but at least they won the second half.
When you consider the circumstances around this game it was a positive game for Vaulen. Especially with the youngsters that got to feel with the senior level and that should aim for more than this guest appearances.
Jan Tore Kleiberg, born 10. February 1982
Kleiberg to sign this week
19.03.02: Former Viking starlet Jan Tore Kleiberg is ready to sign for Vaulen. The former Norwegian U-18 and U-19 ace will get his debut for his new club already on Wednesday. A club spokesman confirms to Vaulen Beachboys that Kleiberg will sign this week. "Kleiberg will sign for Vaulen on Wednesday or Thursday. He will play against Hundvåg on Wednesday. This has been clarified with Viking's Geir Lunde," said Eirik Sunde. "Lunde had only positive things to say about Jan Tore, and he wished him well in Vaulen," continued Sunde. The 20 year old was used as central defender for Norway, but preferred to play in the midfield for Viking. Kleiberg can also be used as striker meaning that manager Tore Haugvaldstad now has got more options for his team.
Jarle Eike with a brace
Vaulen lost Quartfinal in SR serien
20.03.02: Hundvåg (2) 4 - 3 (2) Vaulen
Vaulen tried a new tactic for this game. A 4-3-3 formation where Gysland was moved up as an anchor in the midfield to add some muscles in the middle. This should also give more offensive rooms for Eike and Idsø.
FIRST HALF
Hundvåg started well and leaded 2-0 after a quarter of an hour. After that should Vaulen manage to be some more aggressive - something that was demanded with a strong fair wind. Jarle Eike reduced after 28.minutes on a half volley from 16 meters that was pressed down in the bottom corner. Next man to score was Erik Gysland, that equalized in the 38. minute with a 25 meters shot that went in at the keepers left side.
SECOND HALF
After the two teams had changed side at half time Vaulen should get the wind against them. Therefor they failed to establish a play high up on the pitch. Hundvåg took the lead with a free kick from 25 meter. After 73. minutes Jarle Eike canon balled in 3-3 into the nearest top corner from six meters. But it was Stein Ivar Andersen that had sacrificed himself in the duel that saw Eike get the ball. At the end Hundvåg built up more pressure without it gave the biggest chances. But they should anyhow get the match winning goal. Kjetil Aasland was unlucky and took down a Hundvåg striker inside the box. The penalty went into the net and Vaulen was out out of SR-serien.
The match was anyhow a little step forward for Vaulen. Three goals away should normally be enough to win. Now is it only left to get sorted out the defensive, then can this be great!

Einar Haukaas
NRK to VVC
23.03.02: NRK Rogaland will send a reportage about Vaulen Vårcup just after the Easter break. According to Vaulen Director Terje Holm will celebrity reporter Einar Haukaas (pictured) visit the 23.rd VVC. "I have spoken with Einar Haukaas at NRK Rogaland and they will try to make a reportage from Vaulen Vårcup in the week after Easter," said the new board member. This mean good club promotion for free as the national broadcasting's local tv covers the whole county. The club hopes that they can get a Vaulen team to play when the cameras is rolling. "It had been nice if we had managed to get a Vaulen team in action when they come here," meant Holm.
# Meanwhile have now Jan Tore Kleiberg signed the dotted line. Kleiberg signed the contract just minutes before Vaulen kicked off against Hundvåg this midweek.
# Vaulen's first team will not play Tasta in the Easter. It was agreed that it was too difficult to arrange a friendly in the Easter week. Next game is therefor at home to Sola on the 4.th of April.
