1.  What is this page about
This page is about the the appresiation, and analysation of the alien writing systems and langauges of star trek and maybe some other sci-fi programs.  On this page I aim to inform entertain and generally satisfy any curiosity about the subject.  I feel this is a neglected element of sci-fi and needs to be taken more seriously.
2. Why am I here?
Because you want to be and/or you have some interest in this subject, and like me you're on the internet searching fo stuff like this.
3. How accurate (canon) is the information on your site
As accurate and canon as can be.  All the symbols I've used i the writing systems are derived from canon sources including;
The Star Trek encyclopedia
The Star Trek Fact Files
The Art of Star Trek
Startrek.com
Star Trek the Continuing mission
Tommy of Escodido's alien fonts page (or at least his information is derived from canon sources and he is one of the primary sources for my page)
The tv series; Star Trek The next generation, Star trek Deep Space Nine, Star Trek voyager And Enterprise.
Any and all Star Trek films (from The Motion Picture to Nemesis)
The Klingon Dictionary
Klinogn for The Galactic traveller
4. Are your translations accurate though
Unfortunately due to the free will and whim of Michael Okuda, Herman Zimmerman and other graphic artists who work at paramount, Non of the alien text samples seen in star trek say anything.  They are graphics that are designed to look like writing but don't really dsay anything.  I've decided that it would be nice if there was a source that could give youways to write your name in Cardassian or decorate computer/room/guinea pig hutch with alein text that says something.  My "translatins" are fictional but ae realistically derived from similar real world writing systems that could possibly functon in a similar way.  Also I enjoy doing this.
5. You are so sad, get a life!
If you're reading this then you're probably jst as sad and geeky as me!  So go figure and stop being hippocritical1
6. Are the spoken language souces accurate
Yes, I will be drawing on sources from the net, the books and the tV programs
7. Do you take requests for languages that arten't on your site?
Yes I do.  You can send your requests into me with the contact email on the front page.  If you have sources for a language that is not on my site please send them into me and I will develop a "translation" where possible.or put up the given translations.  I am continually looking for more informtion to put on my web site so don't hessitate to ask/give
8. Can you write my name in ........ for me please?
Yes I can, just send in our name or any other text (150 words or less) you want translating and i will do it for you.  please note that your request could take a few days for me to get round to it, so be patient and I will answer yur request ASAP.  PLease note that in some cases the translation won't be a real translation but rather a transliteration.  this means that the english letters or sounds will be converted to the alien equivellants.  In some cases the results may not match the english too well becasue of the writing systems representing different spoken sounds to english.
9. So how do I contact you?
You can contact me with my email address at [email protected]
If you have any other comments or queries please don't hesitate to email me and And please enjoy the web site!!
