| THE DUKES OF HAZZARD |
Dick played Sheriff Grady Byrd for two episodes on "The Dukes of Hazzard." Actor James Best, who portrayed Roscoe Coltrane, walked off the set (supposedly over poor working conditions or the size of his dressing room--depending on who's side you choose to believe), and Dick was one of several actors brought in to play Boss Hogg's sidekick until Best came back. Dick wasn't just a guest star, because he's shown in the front credits as a regular cast member!
