HINDUSTAN CONTESSA

HM Contessa Jpg

Hindustan Motor's [HM] Contessa is derived from General Motor's [UK] Vauxhall Victor whose design was shelved in Europe after 1978. HM picked it up in late 1985. Performance has always been a virture of this car. The car has vigorous accelaration and the engine delivers its power and torque in a smooth, linear fashion -- just floor the accelerator and the car surges foward seamlessly. Contessa's dynamics are also pretty good for its vintage. A relatively sophisticated multi-link suspension keeps the wheel well connected to the road. The car is for lusty engine, touring comfort, and a good highway stormer and disadvantages are against bulk and rapid depreciation.
