On our way out of Las Vegas, we stopped at a little thrift shop to look for inspiration for our art. While we were there, we learned that the proceeds from the store go to support a program that tried to help the homeless teenagers of Las Vegas. That, along with the young people we observed the day before in the showgirl shop were a reminder that all that glitters isn't gold.

We drove all day to get to Williams, Arizona, our last stop before the Grand Canyon. On the way, we marveled at the immensity of Hoover Dam and visited its Snackateria.

This dam picture is pretty nice

We arrived in Williams early enough to meet the people who run Route 66 Magazine who kindly put us up for the night at the Mountain Side Inn. Thanks again, guys!

We were wearing shorts at Hoover Dam, but by the time we arrived in Williams, Arizona, we thought we were freezing.
