Im going to enlist. I went to the British Consul this morning and he told me to come back this afternoon to be examined, and if I passed he would send me to Liverpool on the 8th day by a cattle steamer, and I could join the Canadian Contingent over there. After being accepted he sailed by the Leyland steamer Etonian from Boston on March 9th with about 60 others all bound on the same errand to do their share. |
