Website (Thank you very much. Michael) Spencer James has been the lead singer with the Searchers since the end of 1985, and during the rare periods of time off that their hectic schedule allows, he has made three albums which show his gift not only as a solo singer but also as a writer and a record producer. During this time he has set up his own top quality recording studio (SJO Productions in Northampton), producing other acts as well as his solo work and the Searchers' live albums. |

| His first solo album was "Tides of Time", a collection of self and co-written songs, which excellently showcased his love for "new country" music. This was followed by "Love Remains" which, although the songwriting credits belonged to others - Spencer having been influenced by modern singer/songwriters such as Colin Raye, Steve Wariner and Mark Chesnutt - was very much Spencer's own sound. |

Prayin' For Daylight Dream Your Way To Me Breathe In, Breathe Out I'm Not Supposed To Love You Anymore Alright Already First Cut Is The Deepest Grace Of God When She Cries Missing You A Cheatin' Heart Straight From My Heart The Searchers'
continuing hectic schedule has meant that, although Spencer has written a
lot more of his own songs, he hasn't yet had time to perfect them for
recording. He has, however, found time to record a third solo album "Breathe
In, Breathe Out" which contains more songs by writers he admires, plus a
classic "The First Cut is the Deepest" which he particularly likes. |
