April 7, 2006. The
pioneers of the USLS College of Medicine headed by
their Class President Chad Bryan Hilado, tried to
put on their long gowns and tuxedo as they held a
once-in-a-lifetime affair that they will surely
remember for the rest of their lives. It was not
only a night of glamour and eligance, but of
reminiscing
their memorable moments in medschool, and
recognition of the efforts of their mentors who have
molded them to become what they have dreamed to be 4
years ago.
The Ricardo Hall of the
L' Fisher Hotel was filled with almost all of their
guest-consultants/professors, headed of course by
Dr. Carmelo Canto, dean of the said college. The
residents coming from the different departments of
CLMMRH also came in and shared this momentous event
with the pioneers.
The party started with a video clip that showcased
the most unforgetable happenings in the life of the
pioneers in the past 4 years. It was then followed
by a testimonial dinner, as co-pioneers Ma. Cornelia
Zarceno and Andylou Mangubat shared, in behalf of
their batchmates, their most memorable experiences
in the years. Even the most kept secrets of some of
their batchmates were also uncovered. Dra. Yvonne
Cortes and Dr. Ricky Gallaga also took the
opportunity and shared their inspiring words to the
batch.
And perhaps, the most exciting part of the program
was the awarding ceremony (ala Oscar's). Special
awards were given to their co-pioneers, residents
and proffessors. And the winners are as follows:
