PYL was divided in to 2 halves, each half had a question round and a "spin" round. In the question round, a buzz-in answer to one of the 4 questions earned 3 spins, a later multiple-choice answer was worth 1 spin.
In the spinning round, players used their spins to win cash and prizes. If they landed on a whammy, they lost all of their winnings. 4 whammies and they were out of the game.
