Garfield Bios
GARFIELD
He's the head honcho, the (really) big guy, so on, so on. Garfield made his 1st debut June 19th, 1978. He's an orange tabby with black stripes. Garfield is often rude and sarcastic. This lazy feline does dance out on the fence and entertain his girlfriend, Arlene. His favorite food is lasagna and his pastimes are as follows: Sleeping, eating, kicking Odie, and watching TV.
ODIE
To say the least, Odie is Garfield's dim-witted canine companion. Often the butt of Garfield's kicking foot, Odie is always being tormented by Garfield. But Odie doesn't care. He enjoys chasing his tail and burying things. Odie was originally the pet of Lyman, one of Jon's friends from the early years but was left when Lyman left. Odie appeared 1st on August 8th, 1978.
JON ARBUCKLE
He's the who is "in charge" at the house, but Garfield really claims control. Jon appeared 6/19/1978 with Garfield. Jon's job is a cartoonist, but at home he is Garfield's slave and butt of Garfield's practical jokes.
POOKY
Pooky is Garfield's teddy bear. Found in Jon's bottom dresser-drawer, he quickly became Garfield's confident. He's Garfield's favorite because he doesn't talk too much and doesn't eat too much, also. Pooky was introduced October 23, 1978.
IRMA
Irma is the waitress at Jon and Garfield's favorite (or tolerable) diner. She isn't exactly a "proper" lady, she does some odd things, like shaving her legs at the counter, but otherwise, it's a nice dining experience...well, maybe.
NERMAL
Nremal is credited as the "world's cutest kitty-cat." Garfield always sends him (contrary to popuar belief, Nermal is a male) to Abu Dhabi. Nermal first appeard in the strip on September 3rd,1979 as the kitten of Jon's parents.
LIZ
Liz is Garfield's female vet and the object of Jon's heart's desire. Garfield always sneeks into their dates, thus ruining them, as if they had a chance in the first place. Liz first appeared on June 26th,1979.
