| Three Bensonites attend the annual Browning Society Luncheon . . . Giardeniera invited Emmeline Pillson and Susan Leg to the event held at the National Arts Club on Grammercy Park South, where they enjoyed good food, drink, and companionship, in addition to the program. Two young ladies from local high schools were awarded prize money for their poetry which they read to a very receptive audience. This was followed by a slide program of a visit to the homestead of the family of Elizabeth Barrett Browning by the visiting speaker from Boston. |
