The Greatest Video Games - Revisited [Zombies Ate My Neighbors]
HOOO HAAAA!!!

The Zombies in Sean of the Dead Were Scarier

Zombies Ate My Neighbors was a decently hyped game when it was released in the early 90s. It was a highly talked about game and with reason. The game had 1-2 players as children running around levels to the theme of popular horror movies with the arduous task of saving their neighbors from monsters. You have a wide selection of weapons at your disposal, including the squirt gun, tomatoes, decoy clowns, and my personal favorite, the wall destroying bazooka.

There are 60 some levels, all of which are heavily varied and very memorable. Some of the levels include chainsaw massacre, a giant baby attacking at the supermarket, as well as levels in caverns, castles, on docks against the fishmen, and crypts. I never actually beat the game, but I still have notebooks with passwords through level 54.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Graphics: 6
The graphics arent impressive but there arent any flaws either. I added a few points for the great vary of enemies and backgrounds.
Playability: 7
The controls in this game are quite simple and I never found myself complaining about unresponsiveness or jerkiness. One thing about the game that kind of pissed me off was the lack of split screen with two players. If you arent playing in perfect synchronization with each other you are going to have problems.
Fun Factor: 7
I think the only thing keeping me from playing this game more was that it scared me. Im not kidding. I remember actually being afraid to play the hedge maze level because the chainsaw guys freaked me out. I think I had to pass the controller off for the level on occasion. It sounds ridiculous, but its true.
