WHHHHAAAAT A RUSH!
This game perfectly captures the era of the WWF during the early '90s. All the great gimmicks are here: The Million Dollar Man, Mr. Perfect, The Ultimate Warrior, The Hulkster, The Earthquake, Demolition, Sgt. Slaughter, The Legion of Doom, The Big Bossman and Jake the Snake Roberts. The funniest thing about this game is how the announcer calls moves by the wrong name. "Mr. Perfect, FLYING MARE!" What in the name of Moses' mother is a FLYING MARE?

One of the coolest thing about this game is that each superstar has nearly a complete set of unique moves. From Ted DiBiase's distinctive falling down punch, to Mr. Perfect's dropkick, this game was by far the most in-depth wrestling game. Looking back on it, we will never have another good wrestling game from that era. It leaves me wishing that the Hart Foundation, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, and all the other stars of that era were also represented in such a quality game, but alas, we can't have everything that we want in life... can we? I'm quite surprised that this never made it to a console, although I'm sure if it did it would have lost nearly all of its appeal. Gone would be the large detailed colorful characters and the unique set of moves for each wrestler. Gone would be the wonderful announcer and the fantastic interview by Gene Oakerlund with Animal and Hawk: "We dine on danger, snack on death!"

| | Wrestlefest | Graphics: 8.5 The game boasts large colorful characters, although the graphics are really nothing special anymore. I mean, seriously, look at Madden 2003. How can any game from the early '90s stand up to that? At the time it was just really cool that the wrestlers looked similar to their real life counterparts. |
Playability: 7
This game is basically designed just to get quarters from you. The CPU cheats like mad at times, and although you can beat it on only 25 cents, that is highly unlikely. |
Fun Factor: 7 The game features two different modes of play: a Royal Rumble or a Tag Team Tournament. The two options, combined with the numerous choices of wrestlers give this game decent replay value. Judging by the number of coins this thing sucked from my friends and I back in the day at the local arcade, this thing must have been pretty dang fun. |
