| The Greatest Video Games - Revisited [Super Punch Out!!!] | |
| | Doc, Little Mac has died and is now fighting as a transparent ghost! |
They don't even tell us to join the Nintendo Fun Club ![]() Unfortunately Super Punch Out lost alot of the quirky funny things that were made famous by the NES original. There is no between round pep talk from Doc, which is a HUGE dissapointment. This means that Doc doesn't tell you to 'Join the Nintendo Fun Club Today, Mac!" three times a fight. Highly dissapointing. Little Mac now has turned into average-sized but quite buff Mac. This is also a big dissapointment. One advantage(?) is that Nintendo went back to the invisable-style fighter that appeared in the arcade game. This way there isn't so much of a 'bird's eye view' effect that occured in the Nintendo original. I don't think this is much of a difference.
Super Punch Out is longer, but basically the same thing. There are a few different super punch options that you can now execute, but nothing special. The worst thing about this game is that the new characters are quite dissapointing. An old man? A... transgender freak who swings his head and hits you with his hair? A circus clown? The characters are dissapointing; however, a few of the characters in the original make an appearance to save the travesty of opponents. A good game, but it didn't improve on the original at all. |
