The Greatest Video Games - Revisited [Mattel Football 2]
So this was what life was like in '78

Doodle dee doo dee doo...doot!

This may be the first video game I've ever played. This game conists of the ball carrier (shown on the screen as a bright red dot, a wide reciever (shown as a blinking red dot), and the 6 or so defenders. The sound is terrefic, as it consists of ticks, representing the time leaving on the clock, and a little electronic beeping version of CHARGE before kick offs. This game is basically only a 2p game because a human has to control the offense at all times. Its pretty pathetic that it took the Madden series till '99 before they were able to create a game that was more fun then a '78 game consisting of red dots.

Mattel Football
Graphics: N/A
This game was made before graphics. The graphics consist of 7 small slightly oval dots, more accurately described as 'blips'. I'm not even sure if this game qualifies as two dimensional.
Playability: N/A
I decided to put N/A for playability because there really is nothing to rate. As another knock on the Madden series, I still don't think they've made a game as playable as this.
Fun Factor: 3
I can't tell you how many games this is better than. In fact, it was probably the best football game until Tecmo Bowl came out in 1989.
