Going up
As with many popular NES titles, this game has no plot whatsoever. You begin at the top of a skyscraper and your only mission is to do whatever possible to get to the bottom of the building where your little red clown car is parked for the getaway.
The only problem is that the last elevator which is supposed to lead you to victory is malfunctioning so when you think youve made it you are actually just transported to the top of the building where you then must do the same thing over again. The more times you complete this cycle, the more points you get.
| | Elevator Action | Graphics: 3 The graphics of this game suck because it was made like a thousand years ago. The good thing is the game leaves a lot to the imagination. For example, I always thought to myself: I wonder what it would be like to drive that cool red clown car at the bottom of the buildingwhat if there was a cool bonus level where you got to drive it? OrI wonder what happens when I shoot the lights out? Will the building get dark? |
Playability: 5
The game-play isnt as smooth as it should be. If you jump on top of the elevator when its going down you die. I always thought that was really dumb. I also usually have to try 2 or 3 times before successfully taking the side stairwells down to the floor below. That has caused me to die at least a dozen times. Jae Puta! |
Fun Factor: 2.5 This game is fun for approximately 5 minutes until you realize going down a building over and over again really isnt that fun. It makes for a good conversation starter though.
Person1: Hey, remember that Nintendo game Elevator Action?
Person2: Isnt that the game where you can shoot the lights out?
Person1: Yup
Person2: Yeah, thats pretty cool
Person1: I know.
