| 13/0702 MOVIMENT GRAFFITTI IS WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE FARMERS AT TAL-VIRTU, RABAT Moviment Graffitti is worried and would like to know why the Planning Authority has accepted the application for the development of a golf coarse at Tal-Virtu when this development goes against the agreement made between the Vatican and the government? Why was the application accepted when the land in question is outside the development zone? In fact the apostolic nuncio of the Vatican Mon Luigi Conti in the local newspaper Il-GensIllum 22nd June, had made it clear that "the development of a golf coarse does not come to terms with the agreement made between the Vatican and the Maltese Government". He said that "the proposed development was not a social opera, that there is no social development and that it had no agricultural use". After seeing all this Movement Graffitti questions if there is any real need for the farmers to go through all this trouble? Do the Ministers and concerned authorities know that laws are made in order to follow them and that no one has the right to bend them as one pleases?
