Front spokesperson Michael Briguglio said "It seems that the only way in which AX Holdings can spread its message is by distorting the Front's name and by completely ignoring vital facts. We appeal to Editors, Heads of News and Journalists to follow the norms of fairness and accuracy in reporting and refer to the Front correctly, viz FRONT KONTRA L-GOLF COURSE. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Editors, Heads of News and Journalists for giving coverage to the Front's noble cause which is to safeguard the interests of farmers as well as agricultural land at Tal-Virtu'." Briguglio added "Contrary to the impression that AX Holdings is trying to give, the Front Kontra l-Golf Course was specifically set up to oppose the Golf Course at Tal-Virtu'. The Front comprises a wide range of movements, namely, Progressive Farmers Union, Alternattiva Demokratika - The Green Party, Friends of the Earth (Malta), Nature Trust, Eco - The Ecological Foundation, Moviment Graffitti, Vegetarian Society, Pembroke Residents Association, Zminijietna, Alternattiva Demokratika Studenti and Inizjamed. It is supported by the University Chaplaincy, Malta Organic Agriculture Movement and Kopin." The spokesperson of the Front Kontra l-Golf Course added that AX Holdings consistently fails to refer to the fact the the proposed golf course violates Malta's Structure Plan and the Church-State agreement.
