| Alternattiva Demokratika The Green Party 149,Archbishop street, Valletta http://www.alternattiva.org.mt Media Release: VERDALA GOLF COURSE LIES Alternattiva Demokratika, the Green Party, has called on the authorities to stop allowing AX Holdings to keep on lying about the proposed Golf Course Development at Tal-Virtu'. In the Regent Hotel Website, the following advertisment is written as if the Golf Course has already been approved: "The first hotel expected to open under the new expansion is The Regent Malta Hotel and Residences,,,,,,,,,The hotel offers 360-degree panoramic views of Malta and will be surrounded by an 18-hole golf course." Michael Briguglio, Public Relations Officer of Alternattiva Demokratika stated, "AX Holdings are advertising blantant lies about the Golf Course. The project has not yet been approved by the Planning Authority and moreover it clearly violates the Structure Plan and the Church-State Agreement, both of which do not allow the development of a golf course over the agricultural land in question." Alternattiva Demokratika is appealing to the authorities to take immediate action to stop AX Holdings from carrying out this abuse.
