View settings tab under Folder Options
Folder Options(2)
1.Open a Folder
2. Goto the Tools tab/menu and click on it, scrolling down to Folder Options(click on it).
3. Under the "View" tab, look at the "Advanced Settings".
4. Under "Files and Folders" check everything EXCEPT "Display the contents of system folders"(Whenever you open a system, folder, you can always override this option by clicking the text that appears). And "Do not chache thumbnails". (CLICK 4 PICTURE)
5. Under "Hidden File and Folders" I highly recommend leaving it to "Do not show hidden files and folders" but if you want you can select "Show hidden files and folders".
6. Still under "Hidden File and Folders" check everything EXCEPT "Launch folder windows in a separate process". (CLICK 4 PICTURE)
7. Click OK
