Tom Miller's
POEM OF THE WEEK
beautiful from a distance
he's not a cloud
or a waterfall
nothing
so cheap as a sunrise
i wouldn't call him
any bird or flower
nor talk about his eyes
though blue as...
no possibility
to see him for jupiter
or jewelry or fabric
or any magnificent thing
and only worthy of compare
is the very space between us
for so long as it sustains itself
as meaningful
which won't be long
