| A recent advertisement by Reusch, a popular manufacturer of soccer goal keepers equipment, exclaims: 27 bones 37 muscles expected to stop a ball going 80 mph. Keepers possess strength, agility, speed, and concentration. While soccers fluid and rapid pace creates thousands of beautiful moments, these fleeting frames often pass by too quickly to be caught and fully appreciated. Through close-up and stop action photography I have attempted to capture the essence of the goal keepers art, to strip bare the split-second reaction that results in a save or opponent's goal. |
