Alberta's 100th (2005)
In 2005 the
people of Alberta celebrated Alberta's 100th birthday.
In Fort Vermilion,
restorative work began on the Hudson's Bay Factor's House, built during the
1906-1908 period. This is the only factor's house on an original site in
Alberta. Its location and history is distinctive in Canada. It was
designated a Provincial Historical Resources in 2005.
